Fortunately, this year Downtown Burgers was open across the street from the Convention Center in Austin. The little walk-up stand has amazing charcoal-grilled burgers at prices that are amazingly low, but their hours can be dicey during SXSW, as sometimes they are closed, and sometimes they get rented out by firms or events. After my burger dinner, I walked down to Rainey Street for really the first time this year.
