Breakfast at the Ruby Slipper

The Ruby Slipper is a great place for breakfast in New Orleans. Originally starting from a location on Cortez Street in Mid-City, the restaurant has now expanded to include locations in the Central Business District and in the Bywater neighborhood. The Ruby Slipper has been a great Mid-City place to get breakfast in New Orleans, and it now has a location in the downtown, one block southwest of Canal Street in the Pelham Hotel. Unfortunately, they decided to be closed on the Fourth, so I had to walk up to the Camellia Grill, another New Orleans institution that has opened a French Quarter location. Thankfully, they were open.
