Coffee Is Just What the Doctor Ordered at The Pharmacy Coffeehouse

Bartlett, Tennessee residents were saddened when the longtime Bartlett Pharmacy closed on the corner of Stage Road and Shelby Drive. But soon after came the news that the site had been acquired by the owners of the Side Porch Steak House next door, and that it would become a new locally-owned coffee house. Up until now, Bartlett has primarily only had corporate coffee bars, and only this year have two locally-owned coffee bars opened, one of which is The Pharmacy Coffeehouse, a comfy, welcoming space only a block from the local high school. The Pharmacy serves Memphis’s excellent Comeback Coffee and sells baked goods. It also has couches, tables and seats, and makes a wonderful place to plug in a laptop and work. Perhaps the most interesting drink item is a smoked cheesecake brown sugar latte, an iced drink which hits the right spot on a hot summer day. The Pharmacy closes each day at 4 PM, and does not open on Sunday, but it is worth a visit.
