Despite the drizzle, I managed to catch the end of the Hamilton/East game at the Fairgrounds Friday night September 16.

The Hillcrest High School band performs at their game against Carver High at Whitehaven Stadium, Thursday September 15, 2011
Thursday night, neither team brought a band to MAHS vs. Westwood at Melrose, and Douglass didn’t have their band at the Fairgrounds, so I ended up riding out to Whitehaven to catch Hillcrest and Carver, and Hillcrest seems as if it might be an up-and-coming band program. They are clean, and for the most part, in tune.
After reading that Stuffy’s on Echles near the University of Memphis campus was possibly the best burger in Memphis, I decided to try it out Thursday night to see for myself. The burgers are big, stuffed with American cheese, and placed on buttered buns (with peppered bacon if you choose it, like I did). I would say that Stuffy’s is definitely one of the best burgers in Memphis. I also appreciated the soundtrack of contemporary Christian music over the speakers as I enjoyed my dinner.
Reggae events are sadly not all that common in Memphis, so this might be worth checking out (Taken with instagram)
