Last week I got hired to play a gig on the American Cruise Line’s new riverboat Queen of the Mississippi from Memphis to Paducah, which gave me a unique opportunity to experience a cruise up the Mississippi and Ohio rivers. Because of severely-low water levels, the boat could not dock at the cobblestones in downtown Memphis, and we boarded instead at the far north end of Mud Island.

New video from Cairo, IL’s Kapri Tha Nu Skool Boi called “My City”(by ladylover35)
This is an interesting video from Cairo, Illinois based rap artist Pippy called “I Deserve This”. The housing project in the video is the Leroy McBride Projects, which is the former Pyramid Courts. Between 1967-1975, this project was subjected to near-nightly gunfire from self-appointed vigilantes on the levees. Today Cairo is nearly a ghost town(by reggiebrownvideos)
