Downtown Charlotte looked foggy and mysterious after the rain, early Sunday morning, 10/07/12
The Midnight Diner (@CLTDiner247) in downtown Charlotte never closes, and is the gathering place for people just coming from the clubs (or music festivals) and anyone else that is still up in the wee small hours of the morning. My homeboy @DJCHUCKT met me there after the NoDa Music Festival ended on Saturday night.

It started raining as soon as I got to Kickstand Burgers-N-Bar (@kickstandCLT) in Charlotte, so any idea I had of eating out on the patio was over with, but the inside was bright and inviting, if a little noisy, with plenty of college football on the TV screens. The burgers were really good as well, but Charlotte seems to be a city where really good burgers are everywhere. Altogether a fun experience.Â
Zada Jane’s Corner Cafe is Charlotte’s newest breakfast restaurant, and it has already been voted one of the best breakfast places in the south by Southern Living magazine. I didn’t get to try it for myself, but it seems popular.Â
Lunchbox Records (@lunchboxrecords) is Charlotte’s place for alternative records. They have an extensive section for local bands, and plenty of used vinyl in all genres. It’s definitely worth a visit when you’re in town.Â
