Manifest (@ManifestCLT) is Charlotte’s largest record store, and undoubtedly one of the largest in the United States. Although it is owned by Transworld Entertainment, the parent company of FYE stores, it is large and has a more indie feel than the average FYE store. Prices are reasonable, and browsing through the extensive vinyl collection would take the better part of a day. Manifest is not to be missed on a trip to Charlotte.

It’s kind of off the beaten path, but worth a detour.
Toast Cafe (@toastofdilworth) in Charlotte’s Dilworth neighborhood is a great place to start the day with breakfast. Lots of people have figured that out, however, so expect to wait for a table, particularly on weekends.
Amelie’s Bakery Cafe (@AmeliesBakery) is a 24-hour coffee bar and dessert cafe in Charlotte’s fashionable NoDa district. Although on some nights the line can be out the door, the desserts and coffee are consistently good and worth waiting for.
