Midtown Memphis’ Hi-Tone was the scene for last night’s Underground Kingz hip-hop event featuring Sidewayz, Ray Rebel, Royal T, 2 Fingaz and Flys and Hundreds. There is an unprecedented amount of hip-hop talent in Memphis these days.Â

A block or so past the Foote Homes housing project, I noticed this painted logo on the wall of an old historic building. It’s part of the Memphis Convention and Visitors’ Bureau campaign, of course, but it’s still cool.Â
