Barbara & The Browns – I’m Gonna Start A War (by SimplyGrandMusic)
Memphis’ soul legends Barbara and the Browns are a great way to start the week! Originally recording at Stax, by the late 1960’s they were recording at MGM Sounds of Memphis with Dan Greer over on Rayner Street in South Memphis. As you may have guessed, Sounds of Memphis is now the House of Blues Recording Studio after a brief stint as Kiva.Â
Memphis’ own Victor Wainwright (@WainwrightVic) opens the second day of Beale Street Music Festival at the FedEx Blues Tent. Keep up with tourdates and more at http://www.facebook.com/victorwainwright or http://www.facebook.com/victorwainwrightfanpage or http://www.wildrootsrecords.com/.
