Friday morning, I checked out of my hotel in Sandy Springs, and after a breakfast at Bab’s in Midtown, checked into the Melia, since as a panelist, A3C was providing me with a hotel room. Because of panels, workshops and press conferences, there was a considerable crowd of people around the hotel all day. I had hoped to get into the pool, but the hotel had closed it for the season, despite the hot weather that Atlanta was having. Showcases were starting earlier on this day of the conference, so the shuttles were starting earlier as well. I caught the first one leaving the hotel, and headed over to the Old Fourth Ward on Edgewood Avenue.
