As I was driving down Highway 3 into the Mississippi Delta, I happened upon this small town called Vance, and immediately noticed a historic marker for the great bluesman John Lee Hooker, as well as what looked like an abandoned commissary store. I had to double back and take some photos of the place before I headed on further south to Indianola.
