MtvU is the college brand of MTV, and it sponsors a yearly festival and awards called the Woodie Festival and Woodie Awards, held each year at SXSW in Austin. This year, with Trinidad James on the lineup, people were already lining up at 10 AM for admission to the large stage area which I had seen workmen erecting the day before at the corner of Cesar Chavez and Red River. Admission was free, but those with badges and wristbands got preferential entrance, and the size of the area was limited.
