Cafe Treme

Espresso-based drinks in the Treme? You better believe it. Cafe Treme is open 7 days a week and is located on the corner of St. Philip and Villere (at Café Treme)

Alcove Coffee

Alcove Coffee (@alcovecoffee) is a cool independent coffee bar on the shore of Lake Lucerne near Stone Mountain, GA. My niece Lauren works there, and my relatives and I all walked down there on the day after Thanksgiving for lattes. They feature Batsdorf and Bronson coffee, including the well-known Dancing Goats Blend. Visit them at http://www.alcovecoffee.com, like them on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/alcovecoffee or follow them on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/alcovecoffee.

Enjoying an Evening at Bridge Street in Huntsville, AL

Bridge Street, in far west Huntsville,Alabama is a new shopping development with a lake, plenty of restaurants and shops, and a new, tall Westin hotel. Connor’s Steak and Seafood is a particularly good place for a steak dinner, and the nearby Cafe 153 is a great place for an after-dinner latte or espresso. Lighting and live musicians on weekends make Bridge Street a fun destination.

Late Night Coffee and Dessert at @CafeIntermezzo

Open until 2 AM most nights and until 3 AM on weekends, Cafe Intermezzo is a late-night hangout for Atlanta. Intermezzo’s coffee menu alone is three pages, the liquors another four or five pages. The exquisite desserts aren’t on the menu at all- they are under glass instead, where an employe called a “tour guide” describes them in detail as you point to them and ask about them. Not a place to worry about weight, calories or cholesterol!
