I’m not one to read
Vice Magazine much, although I recall in their earlier days they used to feature hip-hop artists occasionally. At
SXSW this year, they built an elaborate compound with an indoor and outdoor stage, a “Pill Clinic” to promote Dr. Dre’s new
pill-shaped speakers, and an outdoor courtyard of food trucks. The whole area was dubbed “Viceland.” What was cool about Viceland (besides the great line-up of artists including Wu-Tang member
Ghostface Killah) was that it was possible to RSVP the morning of each night’s event and still get in. Take a lesson from Vice, Fader!
