Sun Studio in Memphis, and May has been a big month for him, perhaps his biggest in years. On May 1st, he opened Jerry Lee Lewis’ Cafe on Beale Street at the site of the former Dancin’ Jimmy’s/Ground Zero/Pat O’Brien’s, and then this past weekend he made his triumphal return to Memphis at the Beale Street Music Festival, where a goodly crowd braved the mud and rain to hear The Killer.
