Late in the evening, I decided to walk out on the Venetian Causeway from my hotel with my camera, to see if I could get some views of the Miami skyline and of Biscayne Bay. I didn’t have any illusions about walking all the way to Miami Beach, but I did walk as far as the channel between the first and second of the Venetian Islands, and I did get some great pictures from there. Unfortunately, dark clouds were appearing in the east over the Everglades, just as they had the day before, and I was beginning to feel raindrops, so I decided to turn around and walk back to the mainland.
