Ultramagnetic MC’s (@McsUltra) (@UltraMan7000) Open Friday Night at the @redbull Stage @SXSW 2013

My homeboy Matt Sonzala left SXSW to go to work for RedBull, but I think even if he hadn’t, I still would have made sure to attend the Friday installment of the #SoundSelect stage that they sponsored, which almost seemed to pick up where the previous night’s Doritos #Boldstage had left off. It was the appearance of the Geto Boys that attracted me, but when I got to the stage, I learned that opening up for them was none other than the Ultramagnetic MC’s, one of the most legendary groups of early hip-hop. The opportunity to see them perform live was a thrilling serendipity.
